Harris Elementary-Counselor lynna rippy
August 2024 RECIPIENT
Here is what her nominator, CHADS SEW Mentor & Hope Squad Coordinator, Alyssa Wilkinson said: "Lynna has been extremely supportive of the CHADS program for the three school years that we have been working with her. She is thoughtful and purposeful in her selection of clients for the mentoring program because she wants her students to get the best services for their needs. She is a constant advocate and mental health and emotional regulation within her building. She is an excellent collaborator that is willing to put herself on a student's level to see what they need and how she can help them advocate for themselves and be successful. Going into Harris Elementary is incredibly welcoming. People greet you by name and smile when they see you. Teachers are welcoming of services and cooperate with me to incorporate some of the skills we learn in mentoring into the classroom to create a comprehensive experience for students. It’s an incredible building to be a part of and they have truly accepted me, CHADS, and our mission into their school culture.”
Thank you Lynna and the team at Harris Elementary for your partnership and support of youth mental health in our community!
