CHADS LIGHTHOUSE AWARDS
The CHADS Lighthouse Award recognizes teachers, counselors, and schools that are dedicated to the education and awareness for mental health and suicide prevention. Individuals and schools are nominated by CHADS staff for demonstrating consistent and significant support of the CHADS mission through their participation in CHADS programming and efforts to provide and improve interventions for adolescents.

November 2025 Recipient - The Positive Choice Teaching Team
Here is what her nominator, CHADS SEW Coordinator, Michele Rausch said: “The teachers in the positive choice program at the Hazelwood Opportunity Center have been champions for CHADS from day one. They have worked diligently to spread the word about our program and to bring kids into the program. They have been responsible for planting the seed with families that will eventually grow into opportunities for me to work one-one-one with the students in the program. They are relentless with helping to acquire consent forms too!”
